Due to apparent 'excessive' downloading, our computer is soooooooooooo sloooooooooooooooow. Til the end of the month no less! Never happened before and believe me, won't be happening again!
This is how my computer time is at the moment:
Waiting, waiting, waiting, is something happening? anything? waiting, waiting, waiting, yes, I see some movement, no I was mistaken, yes, the page is coming, so is Christmas, waiting, waiting, waiting, arrrrrraaaahhhaaarrrrraahhhhhharrrrrrraahhhhhhharrrrrrrraahhhhhhhharrrrhhhhhh!
I put that little bit of written noise to show how patient I am (not)! Acutally that was the exact noise I made at my hubbie for doing this to me. See, I said, how annoying that is?
Fell-in-love with this little find at oppe shoppe - a sheet and 2 cases! So sweet, and so much to work with.
I want to decorate/desecrate this little number - it is crying out for yo-yos? applique? ribbons?
Mum's Kaffe quilt in progress - I'm still nervous about it - are the colours gelling yet or will it take the final stitch to prove.
This is the backing fabric - I always like to get the backing with the top fabric - they must coordinate and this is usually easiest by buying from same range. (fuzzy pictures don't do justice)

What a fantastic quilt - I can't wait to see it finished (you know I like Kaffe Fassett too). And sympathies on the ssslllooowww computer - it is infuriating - we had it happen recently too.
arggh, my children have caused the sloow internet before but Now I am much stricter!!!! sheesh, i mean I have blogs to read.
Can I ask what you will do for the binding? The colours are incredible, can't wait to see it finished.
I have just completed a quilt top for my Mum as she turns 70 next week. I worked on nothing else for a couple of weeks and got it done in record time. About half way through I stopped and thought - oh my god this is just too over the top for mum. So I tweaked it slightly and am really happy with the outcome - still really colourful but more my mum if you know what I mean. I think though the Kaffe fabrics work in a different way to normal fabrics. They are designed to be over the top in a stunning way - keep going, I can't wait to see the finished quilt. That backing fabric is divine and I'd love to know what you're doing for the binding. I'm currently obsessed with stripes for binding and I reckon that kind of stripey fabric in the last pic could work well.
By the way, I will be working in Amitie as of Feb and hope you come in and visit me!
That white skirt needs some embroidery! Definitely!
PS. Love the name of your blog!
